The Tinpot Gods of the West
In a moment of temporary insanity Harrison Koehli over at Political Ponerology has published an article of mine that may interest you.
It explores the effect of narcissistic characters on our institutions and society generally.
Political Ponerology
Harrison Koehli explores the effects of pathological characters on our societies. He draws inspiration from the book Political Ponerology by Polish psychologist Andrew Lobaczewski, a recent edition of which was edited by Koehli.
If you are interested in how societies decline and why once functional institutions attract malevolent characters please consider subscribing to his Substack. He always has interesting material you rarely find elsewhere.

I read it over at Harrison's substack. Not insanity on his part at all. You capably, with erudition, laid out the the reasons our cultures are in a state of collapse. Narcissistic sociopaths at the top of the chain working their mischief in an ever increasing need to forestall recognition of their own grandiose ineptitude.
Excellent article, Spiff.
Yes, narcissism is a driving force for those who control nations, but avariciousness and megalomania are also contributing factors. But I guess those are manifestations of narcissism.
