You may be familiar with the recent diversity horror show at the University of Cambridge.
In 2023 Jason Arday was hired and celebrated as the youngest black professor ever employed at the university.
He was made a professor of sociology despite having zero qualifications in the area, with no undergraduate degree, master’s or PhD in a relevant field. His degree is in physical education.
He recently resigned amid a flurry of longstanding allegations of plagiarism, fake CVs and substandard work. A national newspaper investigated his past and it immediately revealed a litany of fiction and lies.
Diversity hiring is corroding the reputations of even the oldest institutions in Britain.
This guy is superman
Almost nothing about Jason Arday adds up. Here are some of the issues uncovered to date.
He claimed to have been a visiting lecturer at a number of universities, all of which have denied he was ever employed. Seemingly no one checked.
He boasted of publishing books for which the publisher has no record. He suffered from implausible developmental challenges in childhood such as not learning to speak until he was 11 and only learning to read at age 18. He apparently left school with no qualifications but somehow made it to university.
Former students have come forward with a list of issues brought to the attention of several universities where he worked, including lax timekeeping, poor supervision of student work, and low-quality lectures.
Claims of plagiarism have followed him around for years. His PhD seems to have been largely stolen from elsewhere and contained numerous grammatical and spelling mistakes no one caught. His academic work is unimpressive and limited. Even his resignation letter seems to have been written by AI and differs significantly in style from other writings accredited to him.
The Jason Arday scandal is a catastrophe for Cambridge University, academia and diversity fans generally.
Many within academia in Britain have suggested Arday is the tip of a huge diversity iceberg. Everyone knows it is rotten to the core. There are thousands more like him; unqualified, promoted well above their abilities, and only there because they are not white.
Things seem to be unravelling for the champions of diversity.
What happened?
The entire debacle is the product of quotas and the intense obsession with race in Britain’s institutions.
Cambridge had a 2019 race action plan to significantly increase the number of black and ethnic minority academics in the university. Arday was swept up in this drive as were others.
He was hired in 2023 to widespread publicity and praise from senior members of staff in the university.
Even at that stage rumours were growing of plagiarism and tall tales from his past. Some quietly noted this “world-class candidate” had a sparse publishing record compared to peers.
Humiliating videos are now emerging of senior staff gushing at how fortunate they were to have such towering talent at Cambridge, an 800-year-old university that was once home to Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking. Nothing in his track record suggested anything except mediocrity.
Throughout his brief tenure numerous complaints were made about Arday, most of which were conveniently dismissed as racism.
When the evidence of fraud became overwhelming after being unearthed by a national newspaper an astonishing array of people unwisely rushed to defend Arday. Everything was written off as hate. When that failed we were informed he was autistic, earning more diversity points. Surely a neurodivergent minority fellow would be off limits?
None of them would address the actual charges, that this man was alleged to have engaged in fraudulent behaviour and a broken academic sector enthusiastically supported him because they have quotas to fill.
With the pressure mounting he finally resigned on 7 August 2026. Cambridge announced they had launched several investigations over the allegations of plagiarism and exaggerated claims in his CV.
Every institution is captured
Has Cambridge accepted reality and issued a mea culpa? Not at all. The problem is not their slavish need to demonstrate anti-racism and the absurd culdesacs it traps them in. The real issue that angers them is the hard-right fascists noticing and then having the temerity to comment.
In Britain every major institution has been captured by a cabal of progressive-left thinkers who agonize over race and ethnicity. This is their doing. No one else is to blame. They promote and fund diversity and this is the outcome.
The recent death of Henry Nowak at the hands of Indian immigrants exposed a litany of failures in the police related to race relations. Like the university sector the police are focused on race to the point of insanity. Despite their protestations even casual observers note the almost psychotic levels of pro-immigrant and anti-white sentiment. It is everywhere; in their rhetoric, training materials and even official organizational strategies. Every police force in Britain has diversity quotas and some form of anti-racist training hammered into each officer.
Diversity, equity and inclusion is destroying Britain’s institutions, and they are now beginning to collapse as a result. How could they not?
How bad is it? This is a trainee police officer in the Metropolitan Police in London. They struggle to fulfil diversity quotas for some groups. This is the result. The video is not AI generated.
Serving a higher purpose
Cambridge is not unusual. This is happening everywhere in Britain. Cambridge just got caught. It is apparent none of them care either. They have dismissed concerns as a racist witch hunt.
It is reminiscent of the Covid masking. Those pushing it knew it was medically worthless, but believed they were serving a higher need, one that transcended the petty concern for facts or truth. The plebs can’t be trusted to make the right decisions. The mask established tone and insisted on obedience. Its medical ineffectiveness was irrelevant. Indeed pointing this out only reinforced the notion most people miss the bigger picture.
This process is at work in academia. It is unfortunate in this particular instance the fellow was perhaps a little below the normal threshold, but the real issue is combatting systemic racism. You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, right?
It is this belief they are serving some higher cause that makes plagiarism acceptable and gives jobs to unqualified candidates because they tick a diversity box. We must overcome our inherent biases by improving representation of favoured groups while studiously ignoring why they can’t get there on their own merits. The reason is always oppression. It is always our fault. Everything serves to bolster the narrative, even failures.
The same forces are at work in academic research too, where facts and observations are buried if they challenge orthodoxy around climate, race or gender. They know they are lying and bending the rules, but they serve a greater truth that eludes critics.
All this and more operated in Cambridge and is replicated in every university in the country.
Zero talent
Jason Arday had zero qualifications for the professorship they offered him. He did not have the expected publishing record. He had no accomplishments whatsoever.
Even accounting for the low standards imposed by racial quota systems Arday was seemingly devoid of any talent or ability, something that would have been apparent just by talking to him. Even undergraduate students thought he was a fraud.
Worse, he had a fantasy CV full of colourful adventures, many of which would have been trivial to verify. They even included playing professional sports and international charity work as well as television appearances. The media managed to confirm these falsehoods with a single phonecall to the organizations involved.
He got away with it because Cambridge wants to promote non-whites. The inheritors of one of history’s leading nations are embarrassed by Britain’s astonishing success and cannot explain it with their egalitarian belief system.
Like most progressives when their theories don’t match reality it is reality that must change. Since egalitarianism says all peoples are broadly similar the failures of some groups to flourish in academia must be our fault. It must be our bias that prevents them getting on and that is easy to fix. We just help them circumvent the racist hurdles and parachute them in so their natural abilities, artificially absent due to systems of racism, will then assert themselves.
Jason Arday is the perfect poster child for the moral, ethical and practical bankruptcy of the academic wing of the establishment, represented here by Cambridge and their mindless need to demonstrate their anti-racist credentials.
They have sunk low. They are so desperate to elevate non-whites they have destroyed themselves and have become a laughing stock.
It teaches us those claiming moral superiority are clowns lost to a fantasy. And if we have clowns in charge then our lives will eventually look like a circus.
Just ask the actual scholars at Cambridge how that feels.

A note about Nathan Cofnas
The issue of Arday’s suitability was first raised by Nathan Cofnas, the former Cambridge researcher who investigates race and IQ, a discipline hysterically condemned by almost all Western universities. They cannot stand the notion intelligence and behavioural traits show strong evidence of heritability with persistent and distinct patterns visible within groups. This observation is forbidden. The entire philosophy that drives mass immigration as well as racial quotas would collapse if this became established as it once was.
Any mention of Cofnas by academics or the media comes with an obligatory dismissal of his work as “controversial” or “far-right”. It is often labelled as “pseudo-science”.
As Cofnas often points out these positions are becoming untenable. They do not fit the data. There is nothing pseudo-scientific about multiple waves of standardized IQ tests showing the same results within distinct groups time and again. The condemnation from researchers who are themselves supposed to be scholars analysing the data to get to the truth is therefore becoming difficult to defend. That’s why they typically just ignore it.
It is interesting watching them handle this. Over the last week or so academics and media types have had to mention Cofnas in their work. All references to him come with a swipe at his research which they are compelled to belittle.
But there is no such thing as bad publicity. This is a sign narrative containment is failing. Given how much data is now piling up against their egalitarian ideas, and especially in the heritability of intelligence and measurable traits, including persistent behaviours displayed by some groups, the clock is ticking. What then for the aggressive anti-racists who will encourage witch hunts against academics like Cofnas while hiring unqualified candidates like Arday?
They seem oblivious to the obvious contradictions in their positions. It surely can’t end well.
"There is something, to me, very sinister about this emergence of a weird kind of conformity, or orthodoxy, particularly among the people who operate the media, so that you can tell in advance exactly what they will say and think about anything. It is true that so far they have not got an Inquisition to enforce their orthodoxy, but they do have ways of enforcing it which make the old thumbscrews and racks seem quite paltry." —Malcolm Muggeridge, Christ and the Media, 1977
I guess I've read too much about Jason Arday, because now I'm mostly wondering "Does he lacquer his face?"
