Riots have erupted in Los Angeles in response to the Trump administration’s clampdown on illegal immigration.
Traditional media outlets tell us these are mostly peaceful demonstrations against the deportation of harmless immigrants seeking refuge.
Public figures have emerged to reinforce the injustice faced by these poor people as a fascist regime abuses them.
The messaging is coordinated; nothing to see here, just the downtrodden exercising their rights.
The “protests” have included mindless destruction of property, burning cars, and the waving of Mexican flags, not to mention violence against police officers and others tasked with maintaining law and order.
The arguments we hear in favour of immigration often point to examples from a more genteel era, when tiny numbers from some exotic place came to Western shores and successfully integrated.
But in most cases past immigration levels were modest by today’s standards. When a handful of people trickle into a country they have no choice but to adapt. They must learn the language and adopt local customs.
That is what assimilation is. The newcomers change and blend in, eventually becoming absorbed into the host population. Despite endless accusations of racism, Western nations excel at treating such people well, helping them adjust to a new culture and often overlooking superficial differences.
When large numbers arrive over short timescales they form enclaves of their own. There is less pressure to change. They can keep the old country alive. If they come from somewhere really poor they can do this indefinitely thanks to an endless supply of desperate fellow countrymen.
What we witness in Los Angeles, non-Americans flying the flags of foreign nations and flouting the laws and customs of the United States, is the inevitable result not just of high volumes emigrating but doing so too quickly for the generational absorption mechanisms seen in the past.
Cultures do not survive when they cannot assimilate foreigners. At best they balkanize, at worst they descend into ethnic conflict as the newcomers assert themselves and establish their own customs and practices.
The riots illustrate not only the effects of unwise immigration policy and unguarded borders, but the speed of decline and why most nations guard against it.
Even modest numbers of immigrants can form a vanguard for shadowy forces to begin working in earnest to fundamentally change a country forever.
The riots demonstrate why borders emerge in the first place. When we say America is not Mexico what we really mean is Americans are not Mexicans. Inevitably some Mexicans are similar to Americans, and these are showcased by immigration enthusiasts whenever they are found. But clearly not enough of them exist otherwise Mexico would already look like America rather than the corrupt, dysfunctional backwater it actually is.
This situation is replicated all over the West. Once homogenous nations are now home to a kaleidoscope of different people who are not assimilating, not learning the language and not embracing their new homeland in any meaningful sense.
They are bringing their own culture with them and in many cases this is proving to be incompatible with the host nation leading to decline and civil unrest.
The traditional media are working overtime to contain the situation in Los Angeles. No mean feat given the photogenic nature of a city in flames cheered on by young foreign men in masks working hard to show their contempt for their new home.
The absurd media coverage serves to remind us much of this is not driven by the immigrants themselves. Most lack the means or drive to get to Western nations. They are the recipients of a great deal of help, much of it emanating from our own homelands, sometimes even funded by our tax money.
Our real enemy, then, is within. And the predictable response to the riots has exposed the factions cheering it on, indifferent to the destruction, foreign flags or non-assimilation.
We understand by now a significant minority in Western countries hate themselves and wish to destroy all that they see. Most of these are white liberals not immigrants. They believe the equalitarian nonsense they spout so they work hard to rationalize the predictable social breakdown their policies deliver.
Every riot is justified as a rebalancing of past unfairness, its wanton destructiveness overlooked to maintain a victim narrative. Every uncivilized primitive raping women or killing kids is a misunderstood target of white capitalist exploitation. Every police officer injured is social justice finally asserting itself.
The drive for immigration is often a toxic partnership of these utopian dreamers with altogether more grounded corporations and business interests working to lower wages and stimulate “growth,” by which they mean numbers on charts.
Diversity is profitable to some and a bizarre social addiction to others. A perfect modern marriage of the cynical and the naive with results as predictable as they are destructive.
To the rest of us mass immigration is a path to conflict and decline. A destabilizing process that is entirely avoidable and delivers none of the benefits its adherents tell us we can expect. It is dangerous to the host nation and comes at high cost. We see this in Los Angeles today.
People who despise America welcome and protect alien people with no intention of embracing American culture or its rich heritage and complex social structures.
An endless array of left-leaning politicians, celebrities and pundits are always on hand to explain how normal this is, how racist we are for being concerned, and how all those burning cars and colourful flags are to be accepted as our new reality.
They are right in a sense. This is what rapid mass immigration ultimately looks like, not the feelgood multiethnic, multicultural, no-human-is-illegal rainbow nation jamboree we were promised.
A version of this is coming everywhere across the West, not just the cities but every town and hamlet too. Those energetic, well-funded NGOs have maps, and they are determined. They will definitely reach us all if things continue.
The world is big. It has lots of people and most of them are poor. Almost none of them think or act like the peoples of the West. They live in a quite different reality, and they bring that with them when they move here.
The fate of Los Angeles is a visible reminder that mass immigration has become an existential threat to many Western countries, from America and Canada to Britain, Germany, France and all the rest.
The scale of migration now threatens law and order, stability and basic safety. The riots demonstrate what our progressive future will look like if we don’t put a stop to it.
The images emerging from Los Angeles sum up our dilemma in ways the traditional media can no longer hide. Young masked men standing on the hood of a burning police car waving the flag of a foreign nation, chanting in a foreign language in a major American city they are setting on fire.
The conclusion is obvious. This is not how Americans behave. Destructive behaviour of this type is unmistakably foreign in nature. They look like aliens who can build nothing, maintain nothing and as a result sink into self-imposed squalor because they will destroy everything around them in an outburst of emotion that is common in their homeland but rare in the United States.
And ultimately it is this visible, aggressive, gloating alienness that is now convincing ordinary people of the necessity for mass deportations. They are showing the world they do not belong in America.
People in the past assimilated because they weren't given a hand out. They had to make it from the ground up, with help from family or other immigrants, because the government didn't have a welfare, food stamp, housing, and health care program.
The faster they would assimilate, the faster they succeeded. Besides the obvious fact that they entered legally, and were checked for disease and criminal records, the lack of government help makes this comparison to today's illegal aliens ridiculous.
Society had church and civic charities, letting people give help. Today, the government just takes your money, passes it through middle men and grifters, and leaves the receivers feeling entitled and the giver feeling robbed.
This is not a mistake, it's by design. There are forces, call them elitist, devious, or outright demonic, who want to knock down thriving societies to make them more compliant and dependent. Most of our Western government officials have been threatened, compromised, or bought off in some way.
At the very least, you CANNOT have open borders AND a welfare state. If you must have either, you must choose only one.
I said I was going to do it, and today, I did. I'm now a paid subscriber. I always look forward to your posts and find value in every one of them. This one is a particularly good take on the devastation unfettered and illegal immigration can and does impose on the West. Gradually, inexorably the invasions of people who have no concept of Western values, and couldn't enact them even if they did are being used as pawns by forces who desire the destruction of the West.
We must take our countries back!
