Funnily enough, I was only thinking this morning about the cowardice of us all. I was wondering where all the men are. Where all the furious men are who have seen the rapes and murders of innocent women and girls who could be their wives, mothers and daughters. I remember all the Poll Tax riots when people took furiously to the streets over paying tax. Now they might walk along the streets waving a flag but there appears to be no fury left. How is it that the natives are so cowered and timid that they let cocky arrogant men from backward third world countries come here and act like they own the place? As Shelley said long ago "We are many, they are few". Doesn't matter who the "they" are, there are still more of "us" but we appear to be fat, lazy, stupid, scared, ignorant and simply no longer the people our ancestors were.

I am not so sure. We are somewhat insulated today. I think that is a factor. I suspect the anger is growing. Our threshold is high, but not impossibly so.

The Establishment has ensured everyone knows the penalty is severe for those who challenge them. So that dampens enthusiasm too. But this cannot last.

As I said in the piece, someone will emerge and I think a lot of pent up rage will appear all at once.

I really wish that "someone" would emerge soon! I'd like things to get a move on. I agree there is an awful lot of pent up rage - people unexpectedly rant about things they wouldn't have noticed before. I quite enjoyed hearing the middle-class Tunbridge Wells people ranting about how they felt they were living in a "God-damn 3rd World country" when they had their water supply cut off. The credentialled, middle-class types are exactly who need to rise up in rage instead of being the facilitators of the destruction. (And I'm picturing that someone being a cross between Aragorn and Churchill!)

Remember during Covid in Canada it was the truckers who brought an end to things. When the laptop class realized all those working class truck drivers shipped in their medicines and food, they panicked.

Urban populations are cut off from the realities of life, until they aren't. Their love of multiculturalism and climate pontificating is coming for them. They will not be spared.

Amelia perhaps?

She is certainly doing her bit. That girl certainly gets around.

Different ways of thinking. Different personalities.

To some people, lacking a driver's license means you cannot drive a car. The rule (no matter why it exists) is reality.

To others, a smaller group than the first, lacking a driver's license means you are not legally allowed to drive a car. But you can, if you are at all physically able to. How well is separate to the rule. Under what circumstances you would drive without a license is also separate to the rule.

(After all, near 100% of all traffic accidents are caused by drivers with a license...)

And the scary thing about it is, the second mindset that many of us oppositionals share to some degree, is the exact same mindset that the rulers share:

The rule is words, it's not really real. Thus, the rule is an instrument for the realisation of your will. Thus your will supercedes any rule.

Thus your will is the only rule.

And success the only measure of right and evil.

What then is to be done when the rules are evil?

What then is the duty to do to the makers and upholders of evil rules?

Yes, there is a lot of talk and it amounts to nothing. But I maintain pressure is building. Our world is insane. And not because of organic developments. We are in our predicament because some people made specific choices.

I think if some prominent types do step forward and show courage then others will join them.

It is something we can and must do every day.

Challenge the small lies, the ones that are so comfortable to simply let pass.

Doing that, in a strong and secure way and manner, while maintaining decorum, spreads hope and lets others dare do it too.

And from challenging the small lies, comes defying the large ones.

Spiff's avatar

Yes I agree. My favourite is "we need immigrants". Clearly nonsense in countries with millions unemployed. I often find that gets some people thinking.

Supposedly, financial Federal assistance is stopping for Sanctuary Cities today. It will be interesting to see whether this simply results In a glut of lawsuits or changes in our nation.

Spiff's avatar

That is interesting. Sanctuary cities are suicidal.

The evidence is clear. Since nearly 100% of all automobile accidents are caused by licensed drivers, no one should get driver's licenses. Just as taxing cigarettes so that only people on welfare can afford them, it is important to get these dangerous licensed maniacs off the roads. America will become a much safer place.

Spiff's avatar

Ha ha, absolutely. They are a danger to us all.

During the height of the covidian lunacy, I decided to have a walk around my local town with a camera and document to most egregious totalitarian symbols and INSTRUCTIONS, YOU HEAR ME! on metal signage and spray-painted on the bloody pavements.

I regularly go back and scroll through those photographs to remind myself of how much they can get away with when they push the right psychological buttons. I still like your optimism, but that period showed me a bleak and depressing picture of what "reasonable" people will do to themselves and others. It amazes me that a lot of the signage is still there attached to lamp-posts and railings. You would think someone in the local council would want to memory-hole the evidence of their conspiracy with tyranny. but amazingly it seems not.

Spiff's avatar

I believe the elite adjacent types are especially lost. They are the ones working in councils etc. Not the strategists. The ones who misinterpet elite goals. They believe diversity is a strength etc.

The majority do not embrace their views. And remember, their ideas are poor. That is the real killer for them.

Have you come across Gavin Boby? His take on how our nation will be saved is interesting to say the least.

Spiff's avatar

No, but I will check it out.

Give -'Why we will win - conditions in foreigner enclaves' a watch. Very interesting.

Spiff's avatar

Nothing at all appears when I search for his name or the article title. Do you get results?

Spiff's avatar

I have seen others discuss this, including Morgoth. I agree conditions will plummet fast. Groups will revert to types.

Spiff's avatar

Sorry, thought it was on here.

An excellent piece, thank you for writing it.

Glad you liked. Thank you for reading.

Spaceman Spiff - Good stuff. Courage is always in short supply because it may cost you. Our leaders live in fear of courageous people. Look what they did to Malcom X and JFK and Edward Snowden.

Spiff's avatar

Yes, their system relies on the corruptable. I suspect that won’t save them in the end.

Realist's avatar

"We witness a host of destructive ideas being enacted, especially in European nations."

Western Europe has been subjugated by the United States since 1945.

"Bravery is in short supply that is true. But times are changing and given how much courageousness is missed when it does emerge it is likely to spread like wildfire."

I'm waiting!

Spiff's avatar

We are all waiting! But cometh the hour, cometh the man.

Isaiah Antares's avatar

There's the Abilene Paradox aspect to it, to be sure, but I also think a lot of people who might stand up are left wondering what the hell to do about all of it.

Spiff's avatar

Yes, no doubt. What solutions can there be? But I suspect there is a lot of pressure building.

Tardigrade's avatar

A lot of what you're talking about here is the Overton Window, which I find a helpful concept.

Spiff's avatar

Yes, very much so. It needs pushed against. It is certainly not as rigid as we imagine.

Jeannie's avatar

What is really important in this article is that bravery is contagious. As you say, people are waiting for someone to show the way for the simple reason that they are not organized.

The side pushing this nonsense as means of control are very organized. They have that in their favor, as ridiculous as they are.

More cautious people need to see and hear from others that they are not alone.

Spiff's avatar

I think this is what they fear. The awareness spreading. People realizing they are not alone. You are allowed to be concerned about mass immigration; it doesn’t make you a racist. You are allowed to reject climate policy because you believe it is overstated etc.

Their narratives are quite brittle.
