The world seems crazy. Men can be women. Increasing taxes can change the weather. Doctors surgically altering physically healthy children is normal, but questioning experimental medical treatments rushed into production is dangerous.
It is more than just confusing. Conspiracy theories abound. Two camps seem to be emerging. One camp focus on the goals of elite institutions like the WEF. It probably gives us some glimpse of what is going on, as do mysteriously well funded campaigns to challenge societal norms like reliable energy, the sanctity of childhood or even gender roles.
Another camp seem to revel in the destruction. Every demand we capitulate to is replaced by another more extreme demand. As each day passes we see behaviours, protests and outbursts that look more like expressions of mental illness than any kind of coherent plan for society.
Can we make sense of any of this? Hard to say. But instead of stewing at home and wondering what is going on I have created this substack. It is a place to air my views on events as they happen.
I have no answers. But I can see what is happening around me. My world looks different from five years ago, and unrecognizable from twenty years ago. Every Western nation is the same. It is difficult to escape the notion we are not in decline so much as we are being dismantled.
Who knows? I certainly don't but I have found the act of trying to articulate a thing often provides some clarity; a problem well stated is half solved as they say. This substack is just that. An attempt to articulate events and happenings to help me understand what is going on. Hope you enjoy it.
“a problem well stated is half solved as they say”
I didn't know this was a saying, but it's not surprising. I've noticed this more and more lately.
