As 2023 draws to a close I am thinking about the year ahead. I started this Substack in August. It has about 150 subscribers, which amazes me. I am grateful to everyone who has signed up. My articles have been read thousands of times which is a great boost. You never know if anyone will read what you write after all.
Many on the dissident right observe how the left has more or less captured every aspect of the media, including films, music and literature. This is not popular with the public and people are tired of being lectured about social justice issues.
Perhaps the real question is why can¡t conservatives break through. And I have to agree dispite endless streaming options most of what we watch is older shows.
One possibility is that we have been poisoned and overwhelmed by microwave radiation since the fifties. Now, with the ubiquitous presence of cell phones, our world is choked with unnatural and dangerous radiation. Maybe it has stopped rational thought and polite discourse.

I suspect the commissioning agents are on the left. Nothing conservative is considered.

I too have started watching older cinema, including 70's Realism, as an antidote.
It's gotten so widespread, there's a whole category for it on Netflix.
